Panpuri - The First Kindred Intention
Material Defines the Pattern, for PAÑPURI - The First Kindred Intention
The work explores a meditative return to nature’s quiet rhythm; influenced by the ethos of Andy Goldsworthy’s artwork, where human and nature form a connection through the cycles of decay, renewal, and change; and the salt-based works of Motoi Yamamoto, where life and memory gradually dissolve over time.
By stripping away the bark, the piece reveals a raw, tactile surface marked by time, imperfection, and life.
Lavender, arranged in spirals and inlaid into carved grooves, brings a sense of ritual and softness, creating moments of warmth and intimacy.
Guided by the belief reflected in its name, the work allows wood and flower to shape the outcome, inviting the viewer to slow down, listen, and reconnect.
