Trace of Things
A workshop by PHKA

Trace of Things explores the ideas that lie beneath each installation. Rather than focusing on overt form or finished appearance, the workshop considers trace, gesture, and the quiet presence left by process and material.

This one-day workshop centers on creating smaller-scale floral installations within the intimate setting of our Paris/Cachan studio. Through making and discussion, we will explore composition, rhythm, and intuition, allowing floral work to carry meaning without relying on scale or spectacle.

The conceptual starting point of the workshop is informed by the artworks of Cy Twombly, where marks and fragments suggest memory, movement, and time. We will investigate how this sensibility can be translated through the language of botanical materials, and how ideas remain embedded within each work as subtle traces.

Conditions
Flower and plant materials are included.
Lunches, snacks, and refreshments are included.
Participants are expected to bring their own personal equipment, such as scissors and gloves.
The workshop will be instructed primarily in English, with assistance available in French.
Payments made are non-refundable.
Seat bookings may be transferred to another individual.
