Trace of Things
A workshop by PHKA
Trace of Things explores the ideas that lie beneath each installation. Rather than focusing on overt form or finished appearance, the workshop considers trace, gesture, and the quiet presence left by process and material.
This one-day workshop centers on creating smaller-scale floral installations within the intimate setting of our Paris/Cachan studio. Through making and discussion, we will explore composition, rhythm, and intuition, allowing floral work to carry meaning without relying on scale or spectacle.
Taking cues from Cy Twombly’s language of marks and fragments, we consider memory, movement, and time as starting points. We will translate this sensibility into botanical language, allowing ideas to linger as subtle traces within each work.
